Richard Kuhn Awarded Silver Medal Winner at This Year's Addy's

Congratulations Richard!

The American Advertising Federation New Mexico awards Richard Kuhn of RK Venture as the Silver Medal Winner at this year’s Addy’s. The award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to advertising, further the industry’s standard, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

Well, Richard fits this bill perfectly. Sure, here at RK Venture we might be a bit biased, but many others who know and have worked with Richard share this sentiment. Check out the video below created by our own Broadcast Creative Director, Nick Tauro, in collaboration with David and Nikelle Garcia from HalfLife.

Richard is the principal and Executive Creative Director of RK Venture, an agency that creates innovative, integrated campaigns that motivate behavior change. Richard drives all creative strategy, execution, and management of successful complex communication and marketing initiatives for both the private and public sector clients of the agency. He has nurtured and supported creative talent from within his agency for over 35 years.

Richard Kuhn’s creative success in the local industry began in the 1980s with his Managing Partner position with the design firm VaughnWedeen (which them grew to become Vaughn Wedeen Creative, and later was known as VWK by the early 2000s.) Richard Kuhn went on in 2014 to spin off his own firm, the creative agency RK Venture.Aside from being an active member with the AAFNM, Richard Kuhn and his agency RK Venture continues to create award winning, behavioral change advertising from their office in Nob Hill neighborhood in Albuquerque. The firm continues to service clients from coast to coast. RK Venture has been recognized nationally and internationally with multiple Addy, Telly, Comm Arts, Graphis, and Print Magazine awards. Richard has acted as mentor and counsel for numerous members of the advertising and creative communities here in New Mexico.

Personally, Richard Kuhn has supported various environmental groups locally, nationally, and internationally, like Amigo Bravos, New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, the NRDC: National Resources Defense Council and others.

In addition, he is an active supporter of the RoadRunner Food Bank, New Mexico Humane Society, American Indian College Fund, One Albuquerque Fund, and Chatter – A Chamber Ensemble.

We are so proud of you, Richard.
