November 18, 2015, Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico State police officers are front and center in the latest anti-DWI campaign created for the New Mexico Department of Transportation by Albuquerque advertising, branding and design firm RK Venture. Titled “The Things I’ve Seen…,” the campaign features real police officers reflecting on the difficult task of informing families that a loved one has been killed due to drunk driving. Shot in New Mexico with local director, cast and crew, “The Things I’ve Seen…” will begin airing statewide in English and Spanish on November 20th, and will continue to air through the holidays. In addition to the televised spots, the campaign will reach the public via radio, print, outdoor signage, online banner ads and social media.
“Police officers are on the front lines everyday. They see the blood and guts and broken hearts that are the result of drunk driving,” said Richard Kuhn, owner and executive creative director of RK Venture. “We thought theirs was a unique perspective from which to examine the tragic consequences that all too often are the result of drinking and driving.”
